The Situation
Every August, the same problem.
A UAE education group managing 18 schools had been running uniform procurement through three separate suppliers for five years. Each supplier handled different product types. Each had its own quality standards. Each had its own interpretation of what “Size 10” meant.

The Challenge
Sizing inconsistency across 18 schools
The same size label from different suppliers measured differently — by up to 2cm in chest width. Parents buying replacement garments mid-year couldn’t rely on the size they’d bought in August.
Fabric durability
Cotton shirts were shrinking 5–8% after 10 washes — enough to make a Size 10 unwearable by December. Uniforms needed to last a full academic year.
Delivery reliability
At least one supplier had delivered late every year for four consecutive years. The August deadline was non-negotiable.

The Rudraa Solution
Sizing Standardisation Audit
Rudraa’s technical team reviewed size charts from all three existing suppliers and identified 14 measurement discrepancies across the 6 garment types. Working with the procurement manager and the group’s operations team, Rudraa developed a unified master size chart — standardised to actual student body measurement data. The chart was locked into Rudraa’s production system as the permanent reference for all future orders. Every garment would be measured against it at inline inspection and final AQL audit.
Fabric Specification & Durability Testing
Rudraa recommended switching from 160 GSM 100% cotton to 200 GSM 65/35 cotton-polyester blend for shirts and tunics. Fabric samples were subjected to accelerated wash testing — 20 cycles at 40°C:

Consolidated Production
All 6 garment types produced in Rudraa’s vertically integrated facility in Tirupur. One factory. One account manager. Production in 3 batches for phased quality control. Every garment packed school-by-school — each school’s allocation in clearly labelled cartons by school name, garment type, size range, and quantity.
Delivery & Documentation
25,000 units shipped from Chennai to Jebel Ali via sea freight. Full documentation: commercial invoice (itemised by school), packing list (carton-level), certificate of origin, fabric test reports, and AQL inspection report. Delivered 3 weeks ahead of the August deadline — the first time in five years the group received its full order before end of July.
